Is this AI?
Yes. midiHuman uses AI to turn a score into a performance, following what you ask for in plain words. Your original score remains the same.
Who is this for?
Hobbyists and professional composers. Really, anyone who wants to hear how their music or arrangement would sound performed, but doesn’t have the time or expertise to play it, or the money to hire a musician right away.
And if you find it hard to get copyright-free performances for your projects, it comes in handy there too.
midiHuman doesn’t aim to replace performing musicians. It’s a supplemental tool for composers.
What instruments can it play?
Solo piano, strings and winds, and combinations of them, from duos up to quintets. More instruments will be supported in the future.
What do I need to get started?
A MIDI file or a MusicXML score, and an idea of how you want it to sound.
